Good morning Bitachon of the Day ❤️

I love reading about the Rebbe, his thoughts, his advice during difficult situations, and his guidance on how to handle them. I came across something that struck me deeply: during a very challenging time, the Rebbe said, "Increase in joy."

Joy? How can you increase in joy when Israel is under such vicious attack? How can the Rebbe, who saw his dire warnings go unheeded and is now witnessing the severe consequences, speak about joy?

It slowly dawned on me.

Back then, just as it is now, Israel was at war. In war, you need to do everything you can to win. You can't go into battle with a faint heart or low morale. A battle cannot be won with tears. You need to be strong, courageous, and positive. Despite everything that has happened, you need to be filled with faith that Hashem will be with you.

The Rebbe quoted a famous Jewish teaching that Hashem is our “shadow,” reflecting our behavior. When we act joyously, He mirrors that joy back to us. Despite everything we must be filled with positive energy.

When we go through something very difficult, how can we handle it with joy? It is so hard to face something that keeps you up at night, that upsets you, and that you have no control over.

That's why we learn to have Bitachon (trust) in Hashem, to help us in the most challenging times, and to turn our minds toward doing good. If we are in a bad mood, everyone around us feels it, and it sets a negative tone.

We must practice being joyful, switching our minds to happy thoughts, doing mitzvot, and studying. That's how you achieve joy and come to believe that Hashem is your ultimate healer.

May we have the power and strength to face challenging times with joy. Amen. 🙏

I will be traveling and may not be able to write my Bitachon every day, but I will try my best. Wishing you all a wonderful summer. ❤️
