Good morning Bitachon of the day ❤️
Gan Eden refers to the place where you enjoy everything you have built during your lifetime. Throughout our life, we plant seeds in our personal garden (Gan) of growth, and we water those seeds with the water (Nahar) that we channel into this garden. Our ultimate oneg in Olam Haba will be experiencing everything we accomplished during our lifetime, all the Eden that we brought into the same is true regarding all berachah and shefa from Hashem. Hashem flows into the space that we make for Him in our lives.
There is an incredible organization called Renewal that donates kidneys, which my husband has been supporting for years. Last year, a friend of ours called my husband and asked for help because his grandfather needed a kidney. Fast forward a year, they found a match, someone from Deal who attended a dinner hosted by the organization, hoping to be a match for the person who sponsored the dinner. Although he wasn't a match for the sponsor, he was a match for our friend's grandfather. When I saw the video, I had tears in my eyes. This man was so happy to be able to donate his kidney and was incredibly grateful to Hashem for the opportunity to save someone else's life. He approached the surgery as if it were the best day of his life. I found it fascinating and incredibly inspirational. When my husband asked me, “Would you be able to donate a kidney?” my answer was, unfortunately, no, I really don’t think so. It made me realize even more how special a person has to be to willingly go into surgery and endure recovery to save someone they've never met, with no personal connection, simply to help another Jewish soul live longer.
We don’t have to be extremely courageous to plant our own seeds throughout our lives. Sometimes, a simple smile or an act of kindness can change someone else’s life. But when I saw this video, I thought, "Wow, what an inspiration this man is," and I felt compelled to write about it.
To top off the whole day, because my husband helped with the entire process, they asked him to dedicate the transplant. He dedicated it to me. I was truly honored and thankful. Without his help, our friend’s grandfather might never have made it onto the list, and the donor might never have found a match.
No matter what you do, as long as you do good and always perform mitzvahs, it creates a ripple effect.
May we all grow our own Gan Eden with as many seeds as possible with the help of Hashem amen 🙏
Wishing you all a blessed Shabbat ❤️
