Good morning Bitachon of the Day ❤️

I was learning with my Rabbanite, and she explained how we should see our shadow as if it were the shadow of Hashem, always following us. She mentioned that the more connected we are to Hashem, the larger our shadow becomes. Further exploring this concept, I found that according to Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, based on teachings from the Baal Shem Tov, the idea that "Hashem is your shadow" serves as a channel of Divine reciprocity. This interpretation emphasizes that just as our shadow mimics our movements, Hashem's response to us mirrors our actions and dedication.

It portrays Hashem as a protective force that guides and shields us, akin to how a shadow moves with us . Throughout the Book of Psalms that inspires me so much,

Hashem's presence is often portrayed as a comforting shadow that provides refuge and safety, reinforcing the belief in His constant companionship and protective nature. For example, Psalm 121, particularly verse 5, powerfully illustrates this: "The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand." This verse highlights Hashem's unwavering presence and protection, resembling a shadow that continually follows and safeguards from harm.

Another Psalm that echoes the protective nature of Hashem, akin to the imagery of a shadow, is Psalm 91. This Psalm vividly shows Hashem as a guardian. For instance, verse 1 states, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." This phrasing invokes a feeling of safety and security that comes from being close to God, similar to how a shadow offers shelter.

It should constantly remind us of how to behave towards Hashem, emphasizing that being a better person is crucial because Hashem is always with us, observing everything we do. By emulating Him, we can be assured of His protection.

May our shadow protect us, watch over us, and guide us to become a better person, amen 🙏.

Wishing you all a blessed Shabbat ❤️
