Shavuatov Bitachon of the day ❤️
What compels me to believe in the Divinity of the Torah? When I look at the illogical history of the Jewish people and the odds we’ve overcome, including the modern day wars in Israel; when I see that no other religion claims to have experienced national revelation but us; when I delve into the Torah and find myself moved by its complexity and depth like nothing else I’ve ever studied; when I see how observant Jews who truly embody Torah values are like no other people I’ve ever met, something tells me that this book we have is like no other.
In Jewish thought, blessing is more about a state of mind than a state of being. In Pirkei Avos (Ethics of the Fathers), when our sages ask, "who is rich?" – they're not referring to someone who won the lottery or landed a high-paying job. It's the person content with their portion, regardless of its size. Why are they content? Because they trust they've been given exactly what they need, even if it's not necessarily what they want. So, the Torah is urging us to choose positivity, as it's through choosing positivity that we cultivate trust and faith, leading to blessing and a fulfilling life.
Growing up in a wealthy environment but with parents who never provided for me was challenging. I had to work from a very young age if I wanted something. Despite living in a glamorous society, it was difficult to understand why my parents didn't provide for me. However, this experience taught me self-reliance, and I felt proud of myself whenever I accomplished something. Little did I know, it wasn't my effort but solely the blessings of Hashem.
When I met my husband, who had been married before, he tested me. When he first met my parents, he wore shoes with holes in his sole. My mom was devastated and urged me to reconsider, fearing he couldn't provide for me. But I didn't care. I loved him and believed we could build a life together with Hashem's help. I was used to working hard and knew I could contribute.
My husband married me because he saw my strong values and work ethic.
From the start, I learned to appreciate what I had and to find contentment in it. I understood that if you have love for Hashem and follow His mitzvot, He will reward you. Money isn't everything; a life filled with happiness, joy, peace, health, and Mazal is what truly matters, all under the protection of Hashem.
We are truly blessed to have been given the Torah. Let us learn from it and be grateful for the magnificent gift that Hashem has bestowed upon us.
May Hashem bless us to find happiness with what we have and to fulfill His mitzvot with love. Amen. 🙏
Wish you a wonderful day ❤️
