Good Morning Bitachon of the day ❤️
It's remarkable to contemplate the fundamental and central role of Shabbat in Jewish thought and practice. Shabbat is among the Ten Commandments, considered not only uniquely important but also the root categories containing all other mitzvot.
Our entire family eagerly anticipates Friday, as we love hosting our friends and family for Shabbat. I feel fortunate to have kids who help me prepare our Shabbat meals. It's a time when we pause our daily worries, relax, enjoy each other's company, and express gratitude to Hashem. We truly cherish Shabbat.
Shabbat serves as a break from our hectic lives, offering 24 hours of uninterrupted time with no outside distractions—no phones, no news, just us and Hashem. I can't imagine not pausing my week anymore. I often wonder how people manage to stay connected to the outside world 24/7.
When I first introduced my husband to my mom, he had a Jewelry show in Monaco, and it was the first time she met him. On Saturday, he had a sign saying "Closed for Shabbat, will resume Sunday." My mother was astonished and yelled at him, "What's wrong with you? Saturday is the busiest time of the week! You'll lose so many customers. Please, I beg you, don't close. I'll work for you instead." My husband calmly replied, "I don't work on Shabbat. Hashem will reward us twice as much. Don't worry." My mom was completely shocked and tried to argue further, but she realized it was a lost cause.
Hashem always provides when you prioritize Him. At first, it was a foreign concept to me too, but I was open to listening to his perspective. Today, I can confidently affirm that it's indeed true. If Hashem intends for us to prosper financially, He will provide regardless of the circumstances. Moreover, if we praise Him and have unwavering belief in Him, the reward will be even greater. Weekdays are a time to experience and engage with the physical world, to create, build, and grow.
Shabbat serves as the ultimate reminder that our lives have an endpoint and that the outcome is only as significant as the effort we've put into building it. It rejuvenates us and inspires us to strive for even greater growth in the week ahead.
May we welcome Shabbat into our lives with peace and love for Hashem, and may He reward us with the opportunity to pause and reflect once a week. Amen. 🙏
Wishing you all a very blessed Shabbat
