Good morning Bitachon of the day ❤️
Knowing in our minds that Hashem is there is the first step. However, in time and with repeated practice, emuna can melt into the heart. After we readily acknowledge that Hashem is part of our life and never leaves, we can work on developing loyalty to Hashem with that knowledge and slowly begin to feel it internally.
Going through a very difficult period or a stressful time is when you truly test your Bitachon in Hashem. The college admission process can be extremely stressful, challenging, and difficult, with peer pressure always looming in the back of your mind.
I am trying to instill in my kids the understanding that our lives are where they are because it's what Hashem has decided for us. We do our part by praying and hoping that Hashem will help us achieve our goals. However, if what we pray for is not aligned with what Hashem wants for us, it won't happen.
Loyalty to Hashem becomes essential when life throws us a sharp curve ball which may cause us to lose balance and doubt that things truly are for the best.
My daughter applied to 20 schools, and I thought her incredible story would make it easier for her to get into college. However, Hashem had a completely different view on the matter. She didn’t get into many of the schools she applied to initially, but her attitude was incredible. She kept saying, "Whatever Hashem wants!" while genuinely being happy for her friends who got into the colleges they wanted.
I was incredibly proud of her. However, when the second round of acceptances came out, she was so negative that even if it said she was accepted, she interpreted it as the opposite. It took a toll on her. Despite this, she remained neither sad nor upset. Ultimately, she received acceptances from five schools, and a few of them offer programs aligned with her interests. I am truly proud of her and how she handled the entire process, especially her ability to maintain happiness for her peers.
You pray that Hashem will hear your prayers, but ultimately, it's not necessarily what you or think you want; it's where Hashem believes is the best place for you to be, and when. When you understand this, a weight is lifted off of you. You react differently in any situation. You become more serene and happy for the people around you.
It’s a tremendous lesson in learning to have Emunah and Bitachon in Hashem. Hashem is here to guide us through our journey, and just because things don't go the way we wanted doesn't mean we have to be upset and deny His existence. It's specifically during those moments that we must strengthen ourselves, entrust it to the hands of Hashem, and accept His will.
Emuna is looking beyond the limited now and knowing that we may not fully grasp the meaning of what is happening. We think we know what is best for us, but emuna means have faith that only Hashem really knows. Nonetheless, we also have faith that one day we too will know.
May we all grow Bitachon and Emunah inside our hearts and souls and truly know Hashem is our guide and He is the one that knows what’s best for us.
Wishing you all a blessed Shabbat 💕
