Good morning 🧡
Jewish history is far from straightforward, especially on a surface level. It is an ever evolving narrative, unveiling information that, with time, sheds light on the past, making it more comprehensible. As we navigate this historical journey, numerous questions may surface, and some might persist without clear answers. In these moments, there is ample space to place faith in Hashem for the events that have transpired and to trust in Him for what lies ahead.
In everyday situations, when observing the actions of two individuals, it might seem like they are doing the same thing. However, once you understand the intentions behind their actions or the circumstances that influenced them, you may realize that their actions are, in fact, quite different.
This means that understanding the motivations or circumstances behind someone's actions can change how we perceive their behavior. What might seem one way on the surface can be better understood and interpreted when considering the underlying reasons or context influencing their actions.
When comparing two parents, one deeply religious with unwavering trust (Bitachon) and faith (Emunah) in Hashem, and the other religious but with noticeably lower levels of Bitachon and Emunah.
When my kids were young, I frequented the park with them, keeping a vigilant eye on their every move. I consistently worried, ensuring their safety and preventing any mishaps. In contrast, the very religious parents seemed less watchful. When I inquired about their seemingly relaxed approach, their response was, "Hashem is watching over them!"
At that time, the idea seemed foreign to me. How could Hashem watch over them when He's not physically here? Despite being parents of similar age with the same number of kids, our approach to life and parenting diverged significantly.
I wasn't familiar with Bitachon, so the idea that Hashem was right there protecting them seemed entirely impossible to me.
Today, after investing in deepening my belief in Hashem through various experiences, I can fully comprehend what they meant. As your faith strengthens, your approach to life undergoes a profound transformation.
Someone with strong Bitachon lives a less stressful, more enjoyable life. Now that I talk about Bitachon and Emunah with my family all the time, my kids are way happier and not as worried and anxious about what's coming next.
When you embody love for Hashem in your daily life, those around you will sense your affection and will follow your example.
May we all strengthen our faith in Hashem and inspire others to do the same. Amen 🙏
Wish you a meaningful Shabbat 🧡
