Good morning ❤️
Usually you give up hope when you are confronted with a situation you “know” you can’t resolve, at least not on your own. You see the problem as all or nothing, even though the mishnah teaches:
“It is not incumbent upon you to complete the work, but neither are you at liberty to desist from it. (Pirkei Avos 2:16)”
This means that you don’t have to be able to resolve a crisis on our own to solve it. You just have to be able to do something about it, to make a concerted effort to fix the problem, no matter how ridiculously small that effort may seem. That is what Heaven needs to see before it makes up the balance of what you cannot provide.
Everything you are, and all that you are able to do, is from Hashem. And yet you act as if you made it yourself, as if you gave yourself the resource to succeed in life. It is a total misconception! It is always Hashem doing our will, but from behind the scenes.
The world was created to be rectified by man. The Torah was given to the Jewish people to facilitate such rectification. But it is up to us to courageously do whatever we can to make it happen, and to trust in Hashem for the rest.
Hashem will not give you a test you cannot pass. Even if the situation seems insurmountable, you just have to do what you can to solve it, and trust in Hashem for the rest.
During my mom's final moments, as I struggled with religious doubts, witnessing the end of a life made me question the significance of my sacrifices for Hashem, keeping Kosher, observing Shabbat. When I reached out to my Rabbanite, she told me “That’s not what Hashem is testing you on, you already surmounted those mitzvot”.
I still remember it like it was yesterday and she was so right.
In that pivotal moment during one of the hardest times in my life, that sentence resonated deeply. I questioned what Hashem was testing me on? How could I navigate life without my mother? How to envision a future without her presence?
I've grown significantly stronger spiritually today. Rather than letting go of what I've built, I've gained more confidence in the power of Hashem. My family also has been observing it, and it's positively impacting their connection to Hashem as well.
Take gradual steps towards Hashem, and He wholeheartedly embraces you. Nothing truly belongs to us. When Hashem desires our presence, we have no power to resist or alter it.
May we progress by taking small steps towards Hashem, with His guidance right beside us, assisting us in fulfilling our life's mission. Amen. 🙏
Wish you a wonderful day ❤️
