Good morning đ
What are your first thoughts when you wake up in the morning?
Regardless of the past, from here on choose thoughts of gratitude. The more joy you experience in your life, the more gratitude you will have and easier it will be for you.
âI am alive! I am alive!â You can shout to yourself each morning. Imagine several scenarios for which this thought would be a spontaneous reaction. An illness, someone kidnapped, shot. You donât need such a dramatic life event to feel happy you are alive.Â
Especially when you first wake up in the morning.Â
When you wake up in the morning the first thing you say itâs Mode Ani,
âI Thank You, living and enduring King, for You have graciously returned my soul within me. Great is Your faithfulness.âÂ
Discovering the joy of being alive can sometimes feel elusive, but I've learned that acting joyous, even if it's an effort, can make a difference. Each morning, I try to wake up with a smile, knowing that it sets the tone for my day. Reciting Mode Ani reminds me that each day is a gift from Hashem, something to be thankful for. Life's too short to dwell on daily burdens; approaching them with happiness and gratitude makes everything seem more manageable.Â
I've noticed that when I'm genuinely happy, thankful, and share words of Torah or kindness, it affects those around me positively. Our attitudes really do have the power to influence others' moods. If I'm upset or grumpy, that energy tends to rub off on others, making everyone a bit grumpier. My daughter often says, "You're never fully dressed without a smile," and I've come to understand the profound impact a simple smile can have, it truly goes a long way.
If you're reading this, take a moment to thank Hashem for every breath you're blessed with. Gratitude throughout the day can shape your mindset and positively influence your actions.
Wish you all a wonderful day â¤ď¸
