Good morning Bitachon of the day ❤️
On the one hand, we all believe that we are unique and special. On the other hand, we sometimes struggle to experience our individuality, feeling almost lost in the crowd.
Countless Torah themes and halachos are centered around the value of the community and how one must dedicate themselves to the greater good of the Jewish People. If everyone is unique and individually important, how can we understand the concept of unity and the need to work toward becoming part of something bigger than ourselves?
Growing up among non-Jewish peers, I often felt like the odd one out, born into a crowd where I didn't quite belong. Despite acting like them, sharing the same meals, and looking similar, my Jewish identity was always a prominent part of me, a visible reminder that I was "the Jew.!"
I resented being Jewish; I struggled to find anyone I could relate to. Constantly feeling like an outsider, I observed different holidays, and my parents insisted I marry within the Jewish faith. I felt lost, neither fully non-Jewish nor truly Jewish since we didn't actively practice—it felt like just a label to me.
People treated me differently when they found out I was Jewish; suddenly, they didn't like me as much. Thankfully, my life took a positive turn, and now I belong to an amazing community where I feel completely at ease.
It's as if we're all pieces of a vast puzzle, each with a unique role to play. Together, we contribute to something greater, creating a sense of unity and oneness. If even one piece is missing, the puzzle remains incomplete.
Amidst the surge of hate and antisemitism, there's been a notable trend: even the secular Jewish community has drawn closer to Hashem. In this time of adversity, Jews worldwide have united as one, each endeavoring to make a difference, to contribute to our nation in any way possible.
Everyone is eager to display their Jewish identity by wearing a Magen David, supporting causes like freeing hostages, attending classes, and giving to charity, by supporting each other.
During this harrowing period, Hashem has empowered us, making us even stronger and more united. We've come together as one to save our Jewish brothers and sisters. Within the Jewish community, we experience a profound sense of unity and belonging, no longer feeling like outsiders lost in a crowd. This connection is imbued with the power of Hashem, reminding us that without Him, we wouldn't have this sense of belonging.
May we always take pride in our identity and continue to contribute to our remarkable community. May Hashem protect us. Amen 🙏
Wishing you all a blessed Shabbat 💕
