Good morning Bitachon of the day ❤️

What is the spiritual purpose of a nisayon (test/challenge)?

Why does Hashem constantly send us challenges and tests?

On the most basic level, we often only appreciate things once we have lost them.

The Ramchal explains that Hashem sometimes sends us a challenge in order to “wake us up,” to help us get back on the proper track. There may be times when we find ourselves on the wrong path, drowning in the physicality of life.

In such circumstances, Hashem may choose to jolt us awake, motivating us to question our choices and direction in life. These challenges should push us to realign our values and to regain our desire to live with higher ideals.

We face continuous challenges from Hashem repeatedly, sometimes even multiple times in a day.

I've encountered significant and painful challenges in my life, yet each time, my connection to Hashem deepened. Initially, I questioned, "Why me?" But I soon realized it was my path, compelling me to take action.

Don't just sit back and wait for things to pass; it won't work. You'll only worsen each day, unable to escape your distressing state of mind.

One of my greatest challenges was when my mom fell ill. She possessed more energy than anyone I know; she was akin to a ball of fire.

She loved to party, and within a month, everything crumbled. No one could have anticipated that she would face cancer. In her family, no one had ever experienced cancer; her dad lived until 96, her mom until 100, and her uncle until 103.

Her illness made me realize things I had never considered before. The importance of each part of the body functioning properly became clear. This led to a newfound appreciation for "Asher Yatzar" (prayer after using the bathroom), and since then, I recite it every time I go to the bathroom.

I came to understand that Hashem is the only one who can make you aware of illness. Months before we discovered my mom's sickness, she was hospitalized due to a severe cough. Despite X-rays and blood tests, nothing was evident at that time. All the test came back negative.

A few months later, when she was diagnosed with cancer, it had already spread to her lungs and throughout her body. The cancer was present during her initial hospitalization, yet Hashem veiled it from everyone's sight. It was her destined path.

Throughout her illness, there were numerous signs from Hashem, each laden with profound meanings.

Despite the horrendous nature of the challenge, losing everything too early, it deepened my connection to Hashem. I began prayers I never did before, realizing the importance of thanking Hashem from the moment we wake up with "Mode Ani" to going to sleep with "Shema."

We never truly know when our last day in this world will be, emphasizing the need to appreciate every single moment. One day we are blessed to be okay, the next is uncertain. Hashem's challenges are meant to awaken us, urging us to become better individuals and improve ourselves spiritually.

For Hashem a challenge is the perfect way to jolt us out of our stupor, leading us to reassess our lives, reconnect with Him and commit to living a more spiritual, purposeful life.

When confronted with a challenging situation, taking action and striving to draw closer to Hashem is crucial, this is why Hashem placed you there. Playing the victim will only exacerbate things, leading to increased depression and hindering your ability to overcome the challenge.

May we accept our challenges in this life to deepen our connection to Hashem. Amen. 🙏

Wish you a wonderful day ❤️
