Good morning ❤️

Why is it so easy to find ourselves getting busy and such a task to slow down? The world we live in seems only to make it worse. Should we go with the flow or force a change to slow things down in our personal lives?

Today, something happened. I received an email from our building informing us that one of the doormen has been sick. I was shocked, thinking, "What happened? I saw him last week, and he looked well to me!"

I left my apartment with my son and asked one of the doormen, "What happened to Adrian?" He informed me that he has been sick for over a month and is currently in an induced coma.

I was completely shocked. How did I not realize he hasn't been in the building for over a month? We always interacted, and he was so kind to us.

And here I am, thinking I saw him just over a week ago! My son and I were both in shock when he told us that Adrian had been out for over a month.

Since the encounter, I can't stop thinking about the hectic pace of our lives. Hashem asks us to pause on Shabbat, so why not try to slow down and enjoy life a bit more? It often feels like life is playing in fast forward, and we can't hit the pause button.

We could learn from the Europeans, who take a two-hour break for lunch every day, savoring life. They live day by day without pushing themselves too hard, content with what they have. Here, we rush, run, and constantly try to squeeze one more thing into our daily lives, as if our plates aren't already full.

Thankfully, we have Shabbat. Hashem commanded us to stop on Shabbat, refrain from work, and cherish time with our family while praying to Him.

We should all pause our busy lives, take time to slow down, and appreciate what surrounds us. Put away our phones, enjoy our surroundings, lift our heads, and take in the beauty of the life Hashem has given us.

Life is too short to live it at 100 miles per hour, constantly wishing for more time. Hashem gave us this life to enjoy and savor meaningfully, not to rush through in a flash.

That's my personal opinion, and I trust that Hashem will help me slow down. I believe many of us go through similar feelings.

That's why I felt the need to share, encouraging everyone to embrace a slower pace in life.

Like my husband would say “This is not a dress rehearsal this is it!”

May we all try to slow down in our daily lives and enjoy our time on hearth amen 🙏

Wish you a wonderful day ❤️
