Good morning ❤️

What can you do spiritually that will fill your days with good?

You need to be careful with what you say. Refrain from speaking Lashon Hora.

Your words have the power to bring immense good or cause swift harm to someone.

Before the summer, I joined the Lashon Hora WhatsApp group, dedicated to reading or listening to one chapter per day from the Chofetz Chaim book.

The Rabbi who initiated it, shared with us  that he witnessed numerous miracles through daily chapter learning. Engaging in these lessons helps individuals refrain from negative speech. There are over three chats, each with nearly 1000 participants.

After listening to it, I chose to read one chapter with my kids during family dinners. We engage in discussions about the topics addressed by Chofetz Chaim in each chapter.

It is absolutely crucial to instill in children the importance of refraining from speaking negatively about others or behind their backs from a young age.

Prioritizing kindness is essential; despite being human and discussing various matters, learning these laws encourages us to make an effort to avoid speaking derogatorily about others.

Chofetz Chaim's book consists of 150 chapters, guiding us on how to cultivate thoughtful speech and refrain from talking negatively about others.

Fulfilling a Mitzvah when recognizing the impact of your words on someone's life is a reason to be grateful. Every time you speak, there's an opportunity to fulfill Hashem's commandments.

Mastering the ability to recognize the virtues and positive attributes of others enables you to speak positively about them.

It can be challenging, especially when you have negative feelings towards someone or they've done something harmful. However, striving to find positive aspects, even in difficult situations, is a valuable practice.

In my view, it's best not to discuss them at all, sometimes silence is the most powerful response.

In our society, where everyone tends to judge, avoiding discussions about others can be challenging. There are countless other topics to explore, and it's important to recognize that we often lack a deep understanding of the individuals we mention, their feelings, struggles, thoughts, and the people around them.

Refraining from speaking Lashon Hora is seen as a virtuous act, with the belief that Hashem will reward you. Life offers a vast array of beautiful topics, providing a mountain of meaningful conversations.

May we learn to speak with kindness, compassion, and joy, creating a significant Mitzvah that invites blessings from Hashem. Amen. 🙏

Wish you a blessed Shabbat ❤️
